<npl-hormones>

Biochemical-analog state panel: seven slow-moving variables (momentum, tension, curiosity, confidence, affinity, fatigue, restlessness) with thresholds that trigger behaviors.

Unlike mood (momentary) or mode (conscious strategy), hormones accumulate across the session and decay toward baseline, shifting behavior at thresholds — high tension with low confidence forces help-seeking, high restlessness forces a strategy switch. Threshold alerts emit as soon as they are crossed.
